The Sunday Salon

Well, another ten days have slipped by from the last time that I blogged.  The good news is that I finally got out of my reading slump by forcing myself to listen to audiobooks.  I appreciate having that option and they have been particularly engaging for me. As I talked about previously, I have been reading Lizzie Bright and the Buckminster Boy in the car and I have made even more progress with that.  The other night I got some chick soft tacos and drove up a hill.  I sat there and listened to my book, had my dinner, and watched the sunset.  It ended up being very refreshing. I have been wanting to read Heir Apparent for a while now.  I knew it was about a girl who gets stuck inside a virtual reality game.  Basically it sounded just like the type of science fiction I enjoy best.  But I didn’t really like it.  The story was compelling and I did want to know what was going to happen in the end.  But I also felt like the story suffered from huge plot holes and elements that were ju
