Exploring the Breadth of Food Writing
I want to try, practice, and possibly perfect various types of writing that a food writer might engage in on my blog. There are a lot subjects involved in the production, processing, and distribution of food and food systems that I think should be translated to the layperson. Over the course of three months, I want to write at least thirty posts about food. Looking at various aspects of food history and culture may include items about etiquette and manners, or a discussion on meal times, or the traditional times of day different countries serve different types of food. These types of topics will tie more directly with the themes about food related to my major. Translating the very technical languages of food into popular and approachable language will be the goal of the experience.
