Countdown to Delayed New Years

There is only ONE day left in my Countdown to Delayed New Years. And while it has been fun I am still faced with the fact that I didn't get anywhere near as much done as I intended for my ORIGINAL countdown. BUT that may have been a massive failure either way. Before getting started with today's spamming I want to link you all to a new blog I am collaborating on. I mentioned it yesterday on my out the door. The Last Blog in the Universe is a new group blog focusing on dystopian fiction.Speaking of dystoian fiction, my goal was to have almost all of my reviews up for my previous challenge participation. And I just have a feeling that won't be happening. Tonight I have my book club meeting and I am really looking forward to it, but as I plan for it I think about how I will NOT be reviewing books in that time. And why does blogger hate me so much and not listen to my spacing? Does anyone have any suggestions?

Countdown to Delayed New Years

Only a few days left in my Countdown and I still have soooooooooo much to do. And then what did I go and do? I went talking about Dystopia on Twitter and things got all awesomely crazy and my computer time ran out. *gasp* Expect to be spammed tomorrow.

Library Loot - January Week 2

Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Eva and Marg that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr.Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries! Checked Out Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick 1984 by George Orwell 1984 by George Orwell (audio) Returned Lost Bullet by Malcome Rose Hush, Hush is Chelsea's favorite book of 2009. When I saw it I about jumped for joy! I really want to re-read the classic dystopian novel 1984. Lost Bullet is the second book in a futuristic dystopian society about crime scene investigation.

Young Adult Reading Challenge

Okay, so in truth, reading young adult isn't much of a challenge. In 2009 I read more young adult than I ever have, even possibly more than when I was actually a young adult. But I thought it would be fun to join away. The library computer is freaking out right now and won't let me link to the challenge sign up page. So I will have to update this later. This challenge is hosted by J. Kaye , so go there and sign up!

The Sunday Salon - 3 Days to Delayed New Years!

There are 3 day left until Delayed New Year! And I still have a lot of work to do! It was a veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery long three weeks at my house having my mother in town. It is definitely blissful being alone in my own house. And even more blissful to finally have time to read!! I have finished my first two books of the year earlier this weekend. It may be a slow start but there is a certain amount of accomplishment that goes along with it. In 2010 I am joining a lot of challenges and I hope this will be positive and not stressful. Challenges have been very stressful for me in the past so I have been a bit wary of them. But after reading 186 books this last year as a result of joining a 100+ challenge, I feel more motivated to join up this year. 186 books in 2009 is about 90 books more than I ever expected I would be able to finish and it was a really nice surprise. In 2010 I'm sure I will read whatever I feel like reading, but I am going to focus more on review and explorin
